Yesterday went well apart from one little detail…. My interview had just finished and I bumped in to a makeup artist friend of mine and gave her a hand with her kit up to the photo studio (which happens to be in the same office as the interview had taken place in) I offered to make tea for the whole office (I thought it would be a nice gesture even though I never ever make tea normally) Anyways I was not paying much attention then served the tea… Everyone spit it out! – Had put salt in the tea instead of sugar SALT!!! Gosh how embarrassed was I. To make matters worse last time I met these people was on a dinner and I set the table on FIRE with my napkin. Seriously it was not really my fault my elbow nudged the serviette over a tea light and it somehow managed to catch fire. Yeah I know I must come across as a total dimwit klutz sometimes, but trust me there is a very gentle and clever soul underneath! Let’s just hope these people can see the funny side of things and if I ever meet them again I won’t have another disaster… Does things like this only happened to me?

Lindsay Lohan for Ungaro
Right so you must have heard that Lindsey Lohan was brought in to Ungaro as an "artistic director" and that the press has not been too nice in its reviews of her debut. It seems it's not just the press that's not liking the Spring 2010 Emanuel Ungaro collection, in which Lindsay Lohan played the role of artistic advisor for the first (and possibly the last time).
According to http://www.independent.co.uk/, Ungaro - who retired from the label in 2004 - this week told local press at an international film festival in Estoril, near Lisbon, that the actress' "collaboration was a disaster".
"I am furious but I can't do anything about it," the designer said, noting that he feared the fashion house was "in the process of losing its soul".
"This happens to a lot of designers, we were the creators and patrons, responsible for the creation and destiny of our houses. But when we gave up our houses, we gave up our soul," he added.
Just last month Giambattista Valli, former director at Ungaro, confessed how he, too, was unimpressed with Lohan's efforts. He told The Daily: "An actress ought to be an actress, and a fashion designer ought to be a fashion designer. These are their own professions, so everybody ought to concentrate on one thing. I chose, in my life, to be a fashion designer."
Meanwhile, Lohan seems unfazed - having told Sunday Times: "Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I didn't expect everyone to be completely loving the collection."
Since then The brains behind bringing in Lindsay Lohan MOUNIR MOUFARRIGE, the CEO of Emanuel Ungaro since 2006, has resigned from his role. But will apparently continue to advise the company as a member of its strategic committee. - http://www.vogue.co.uk/
According to WWD, he plans to devote more time to his other businesses while Marie Fournier has been named as Ungaro's new general manager and will oversee all operations.
Hmm... Seems like Miss Lohan has caused a stir yet again. I think we will all wait with anticipation on what is going to happen next....

Geek Chic?!
I am not too sure about this “geeky chic” trend. Suddenly everyone is wearing oversized glasses ala 70’s style. Are they super cool or just a silly gimmick where all that is missing is the fake nose and moustache? I tried a pair out about a year ago. Just as an experimental fashion statement because some part of me thought they looked really nice. Well the problem was that I was wearing them before they got trendy and everyone kept asking me if I had been playing dress up and did not get my genius fashion statement at all. Embarrassed I said I had been playing dress up -I just didn’t think there was any point explaining myself to a mass of fashion virgins. Anyways I have never worn my snazzy specs again. Then all of a sudden they are in fashion and everyone is wearing them! I am torn on this one.... I might start wearing them again. Will people get my absolute stylishness this time around? Why buy when you can hire?
Handbag hire have started to pop up on the web. There are websites that offer you the service of renting the latest designer handbags such as: Gucci, YSL, Chloe, Fendi, Luis Vuitton, Prada and many more.It is a great and discreet way to trial new designer handbags and to keep you up to date with the latest designer trends at a fraction of the cost. I say hand bag hire is here to stay! How does it work?
Ok you just bought the latest issue of Vouge, seen an obscenely expensive bag you would die for. You are in the process of smashing your piggy bank to pieces and you are counting the pennies to see if you can possibly afford that must have hand bag. Instead of robbing your savings go to one of the below listed sites and sign up as a member you will have instant access to extensive catalogues of 100% genuine handbags! You can choose between weekly, fortnightly or monthly rental. Click on the hand bag of your choice, go to check out and a few days later “your” new handbag will arrive at your doorstep.
(This service currently only available in the UK and in The US but someone recently whispered in my ear that very soon this will be launched in rest of Europe too! – In the mean time round up your FB friends and get someone to send it to you from the UK with special delivery.)

Welcome to my blog!
I decided to start a Blog to get rid of my writing bug! I have been working as a model for many years and have also been involved behind the scenes on various music videos, photo shoots, fashion shows, and also in the weird and wonderful world of theatre. I have been fortunate enough to have been working half way around the world and have meet some fantastic people whom has given me immense inspiration and I have also learnt some of the best kept secrets and tricks of the trade on the way which I plan to write about. Hopefully my future blogging adventures should make some interesting reading…
